I was so excited to see Sam, Jason, and their family again after photographing Sam’s sister’s wedding a few months before.
The day started with the girls getting ready at a hotel and the guys getting ready at home.
The ceremony was held in the same church as her sister’s - I love family traditions!
The reception was at the Waterview, a beautiful ballroom venue.
It was one heck of a party!

I joined Shannon and Andy for a special shoot for their daughter Ailish’s first birthday. We started outside, where she was the perfect little model, beaming that big smile at the camera.
Then it was inside for some more big smiles.
And then the big moment - the cake smash! Well… Cake gingerly pick at, anyway.
Either way, pretty cute.
Last November my wife Heather and I went up for a long weekend in Vermont to photograph a friend’s wedding. Emily and Ed’s wedding was held at the Stonewell Farm, an awesome event space/working farm/museum/nature center.
The day kicked off with a first look and posed photos with family. Then it was time for the main event.
A funny dad’s speech and first dance kicked off the reception.
Then the rest of the night was for dancing and celebration!

One of the vets at my wife’s work wanted some family photos, but in her case that meant her, her boyfriend, and their three pooches.
We met at a local trail on an early November morning to take advantage of the fall foliage. All the pups got individual photos, too. In order of appearance: Scooter, Stella, and Luna.
We took some photos of the humans, too, for some reason.
I’d previously met Rita and Steve at her sister Trish’s wedding a few years ago, so I was thrilled to be working with their family again.
After some prep at a local hotel, everyone congregated at a beautiful home in rural Massachusetts, an amazing setting for this outdoor wedding!
We did a first look and got the posed photos out of the way first - it was such a beautiful farm, I wanted to take about a million photos of the couple.
The ceremony was officiated by a friend. Simple and touching.
After cocktails, the reception kicked off in a large tent. A fun evening with lots of dancing, lots of food, and lots of love.

I’m a bit late, but Zack Wussow Media just passed it’s ninth anniversary. Typically I do a quick post with some thoughts about the last year, but I’ve been putting it off because this has, obviously, been a weird year.
Actually, it was already unusual for me personally in the second half of 2019. Many of you know I have worked for a yearbook photo company in the fall for many years. My 2019 season was cut a little short when an opportunity came up to start a new, year-round position in graphic design for a company down the street. It was looking like the future might be quite different for me…
Then 2020 happened. That company folded, and I was back to 100% photography. Except weddings, events, even portrait sessions were canceled indefinitely due to COVID-19.
Now as my tenth year gets going, the wedding industry is slowly creeping back to life, maybe?, and the end of 2020 is looking a lot more like years of the past. Weddings and yearbooks, albeit both with big asterisks depending on how things go.
What’s that tenth year actually hold? No idea. I’m fortunate to say my personal situation, family, etc. mean my wife and I will be fine for the foreseeable future. But no doubt, that future is murky.

Jessica’s growing family was overdue for some pictures with the newest member. The little guy was very cooperative, and seemed to actually be pretty interested in the bright lights and big clicking machine.
We included mom, dad, and big sister in lots of photos as well. These are always my favorite photos!

There was a classic, timeless quality to Amy and Michal’s wedding that was really charming.
The day started at Amy’s parents where the girl’s got ready.
Then I met up with Michal at St. Francis of Assisi before the ceremony. A suit that good deserves some individual photos, after all.
It was a beautiful ceremony. I’ve been very lucky to work at St. Francis several times.
The reception was held at the Crystal Room. We took advantage of the beautiful garden out back for some posed photos.
The reception kicked off with a first dance and speeches.
The rest of the night was a blast.
